Another 2K miles and a few weeks in Seattle

Hello hello! I am sorry for the long delay since my last post- it has been a busy few weeks! So, I left off just arriving to Seattle. I spent a few days at a friend's place applying to lots of jobs, doing a few phone interviews, and being generally lost in Seattle (I would personally like to thank the creator of Garmin- you are a wonderful person). After a few days of this I got a call from Jenny who explained that her brother wasn't going to be able to help them drive out the giant Uhaul from Kansas City to Seattle. In a blink of an eye I was sitting on a plane headed for KC mentally preparing myself for another 2000 miles roadtrip. Long story short, the roadtrip went great (sooooo much better than doing it solo) and we didn't have any problems with the Uhaul. One mildly entertaining story from that trip: the drive was easy, even through the mountains, but our route brought us through the heart of Seattle- right downtown. So I had the sublime privilege of driving the Uhaul and car-in-tow right through the beating heart of Seattle's busiest district. IT. WAS. TERRIFYING. Besides a few scared pedestrians, a handful of angry drivers, all went off without a hitch (pun intended). With that, any thought of being a commercial truck driver has been thrown out the window.
Ok, so at this point we started moving everything into Luke and Rachel's apartment (they signed a lease before the trip) and the party commenced.
Since me and Jenny were without a home yet, Luke and Rachel were kind enough to allow us "refugee status" so we hunkered down at their apartment for couple of weeks. In that time we have cruised around the city exploring what it has to offer. A brief summary of what we have seen: wine tasting on Bain Bridge Island, touring local breweries, several trips to the local farmer's market, international Beer Fest, a Seattle Sounders soccer game, Pike Place Market, Underground tour, and a bunch of other things. It's been a ton of fun so far. Quite honestly, these girls wear me out. The term, "The Sass Weardown" is a very real thing. The only saving grace for me is that, I swear, Seattle coffee is supercharged.
Let's see... where are we? Ah, yes, so after a few weeks of hunkering down at Rachel's place we got to move out into our own place. If you scroll down you can see some pics our place- it's rather empty right now, but hopefully soon it will have some furniture in it. Anywho, we rented a place about a mile north of where Rachel lives. We live in the North Ballard/Crown Hill neighborhood. The best part is that we are literally a 2 minute walk to the grocery store- best thing ever.
At this point I am going to stop and give you some pictures to look at because, let's be honest, that's what you really want to see. Enjoy!
