Winter fun

Two months since my last post?!?! My word! I know I know, you have heard this from me before, but seriously, the time is flying by! My apologies for the lack of posting, but I assure you things have been busy busy busy out here.  We have been weathering the Seattle winter well so far- think lots of a rain, cloudy, and 40-45 degrees everyday. It's so cloudy that whenever the sun does poke out you take a moment to remember what it is and really how fantastic it feels to catch some rays (even if they are brief and fleeting). One nice thing about Seattle is that the plants are green through the whole winter and you can usually find some flowers poking out if you look hard enough- big change from the frigid Midwest winter.
Ok enough about the weather. As I was saying before I got sidetracked, we have been really busy out here. I have been doing a fair bit of travel the past two months. I went to a bachelor party in Ashville, North Carolina which was ridiculously fun. We rented a giant house and toured all the microbreweries in town- even rented out a bus and a driver to get us from place to place! Too much fun!
Jenny and I also teamed up with Rachel and Luke for an epic Whistler, BC ski trip! We all headed up to Canada a few weeks ago to get the British Columbia experience. Funny thing about Canada: the green traffic lights blink green instead of staying green the whole time. Knowledge is power! Anyways, we stayed slope side in Whistler Village which was simply unreal. There is nothing better than skiing all day, walking 25 feet from the slope to the bar for après-ski and then walk another 5 minutes back to the hotel (and then obviously to the hot tub). We all did our snow dance and Ullr (God of Snow) was kind enough to give us some major dumpage up there. Over the course of 3 days skiing we had probably about 2 feet of the good stuff- we ripped it accordingly. SNOW IS SO MUCH FUN! We did everything from the bowls, to the trees, and everything in between. We set the bar pretty high up for Whistler, but I am thinking this will have to be a yearly trip- records are meant to be broken.
Alright, that about does it for now- in the meantime life is very excellent! Enjoy the pics!
