Hello everyone. I have no excuses. I’ve been downright lazy
in my updates to the blog. Without further adieu, the update:
We have slowing been becoming Leavenworth Locals, getting to
know the town and its people over the last few months. I was traveling quite a
bit in November and December, but have been mostly stationed in Leavenworth
after the holidays. The Sass clan was kind enough to make a pilgrimage out to
WA to celebrate Christmas at our house. Lots of skiing, games, and wine were involved
in making Christmas a success.
After a busy holiday season, Jenny and I have been keeping a low profile. The skiing has not been ideal so we have only gone up sporadically (we are such snow snobs now). We have been keeping busy at home with lots of projects. Jenny has been knitting and sewing, and I have been sewing a lot. Not having a long commute anymore (or any commute at all!) has allowed me to stay focused on sewing projects. I’ve got some pictures below of new projects thus far this winter. To name a few things I worked on: gaiters, jackets, vests, and a tent. I also got hooked up with the local gear store and have been doing repairs for them. It sure is nice having sewing bring money in as opposed to out- I swear I’ve put one of the fabric store owner’s kid through college already.

In other news, Jenny and I just got back from a 9 day trip
to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. We had a great time down there scuba diving, deep
sea fishing, whale watching, and drinking copious amounts of margaritas. If
that wasn’t fun enough, we met up with my family (mom, dad, sis) and stayed at
a family friend’s incredible house. Totally fun trip. I would recommend Cabo to
any and all who want to escape winter. We had 80 degrees and sun every day.
That about does it. I know I am forgetting some things, but I’ve talked your ear off enough already and I’ll let the pictures do their thing. Thanks for reading- I’ll try to update a little more often (I swear!).

PROJECTS I'VE BEEN WORKING ON
I made Jenny a vest and jacket for xmas. This is the final product. Click HERE for the work-in-progress shots.
Made a pair of gaiters for me
And a pair for Jenny
We needed a tv stand so I made one and personalized it.
My first time using wood stains. Turned out alright I think.
This was a pain in the ass.
But I think it was worth it.

Preparing the skis/snowboard for the winter season.
This snowboard needed a serious overhaul.

Go pro's are great.

Divorce Beach is next to Lover's Beach which I found rather ironic.
